With another fabulous British summer behind us, we at Thames Valley Athletics Centre are welcoming back all the outdoor athletes as they migrate back inside to escape the wet weather.
We do however have plenty to offer all those budding football, badminton, basketball and softball stars who wish to get active and take part in their favourite sports as the nights close in.
We are taking bookings now for regular block bookings of up to three months or for those who wish to come along to pay and play.

Tennis is coming to TVAC's indoor hall!

From April 6th 2010, two indoor tennis courts will be available for booking. These will be available in the same manner as other pay and play sports such as football or basketball – available in 55minute sessions starting on the hour, all you need to do is check with reception if a court is free!
Casual users can book courts up to 7 days in advance. Synergy members will be able to book up to 3 weeks in advance.
Tennis Court Fees:
£15/hr off peak (weekdays until 5pm, 10am-6pm at weekends)
£25/hr peak (weekdays 5pm-10pm)
TVAC is looking forward to welcome members from Slough Indoor Tennis Centre who wish to transfer their existing membership when the Tennis Centre finally shuts its doors on March 31st. All Tennis Centre members will have received a letter detailing the options available to them in this case.
Slough Tennis Centre members will be particularly interested to read the Matchplay times being offered in the section below. These were also detailed in the letter you will have received.
Matchplay Sessions and Block Bookings
Tennis, like any other indoor sport at TVAC, can be taken up as a regular block booking which, depending upon the length and time of your booking, may attract a preferential rate. To qualify for a block booking rate, you must book the same time and day of the week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Please contact
There will be Matchplay tennis sessions operating at TVAC from April 12th. These are open to all but all “Synergy Tennis” and “Tennis” TVAC members can attend some sessions free of charge.
Mondays 10am – 12noon (veterans) £3 members / £5 non-members
Fridays 10am – 12noon free to members / £6.50 non-members.
Saturdays 6pm – 9pm free to members / £6.50 non-members.
***The starting dates for these matchplay sessions are: Monday 12th April, Friday 9th April, and Saturday 1st May***
The following exclusion dates are known at present for matchplay sessions:
Monday 12th April - only 1 court available
Friday 16th April - no session (prior booking)
Monday 31st May - only 1 court available
Friday 3rd August - no session (prior bookings)
All matchplay sessions are offered on a 3 month trial basis. If attendances are continually low these sessions may be removed from our programme.
Tennis Memberships
From April 1st, all new TVAC Synergy £27.50/mth memberships will be sold as “Synergy Tennis”. Effectively, from then on our £27.50 membership will include the added bonus of half-price tennis court fees booked up to 21 days in advance on top of use of the athletics track, Synergy gym and all fitness classes.
We will also be offering a TVAC Tennis membership at £20 per month. This will allow members to attend all free matchplay sessions, book tennis courts at half price, and book courts up to 21 days in advance.
