Our Partners
Slough Borough Council
Slough Borough Council must take the credit for having the vision to establish a Leisure Trust to manage its leisure facilities.
Since its conception, Slough Community Leisure’s and Slough Borough Council’s partnership has gone from strength to strength and has led to some exciting improvements to leisure services in the Borough of Slough.
Investors in People
Slough Community Leisure has always been committed in the training and development of our people. In July 2009 we achieved the Investors in People award which not only rubber stamped our approach to people management but has also provided extra focus for our development of staff within our organisation.
Quest
Quest is a quality assessment designed by Sport England for the management of leisure facilities. Quest defines industry standards and good practice and encourages our ongoing development and the delivery of a customer focused service. The average score for our centres was 70% in 2003 we have developed our business to achieve 81% in 2009.
ROSPA
Our approach to safety is measured independently every year using the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents auditing scheme. We have recognised that as a provider of leisure services we have a moral duty to look after the safety of our customers and our people. Since 2002 our safety score has risen from 56% to 81% in 2010 using the ROSPA scheme.
National Benchmarking Scheme
To prove we are providing good value to the local community we have been measured using Sport England’s National Benchmarking Scheme. When measured against similar facilities in similar communities we came out on top for providing value for money.
Berkshire Healthly Hearts
The Healthy Hearts program has been run in partnership with East Berkshire PCT for three years. They have assisted hundreds of people in the area to improve their lifestyles reducing the risk of heart disease.
