Our History
By providing incredible venues customer visits have grown by 300,000 a year and the cost of our service to
| 2000 | SCL is founded to manage Montem and Langley Leisure Centres, the Ice Arena, Centre Pool and Slough Tennis Centre. |
| 2001 | We win the management contract to run Thames Valley Athletics Centre. |
| 2002 | We open our first Synergy Gym at Montem replacing the Flexit Gym. The Options Card is introduced replacing the Slough Card. |
| 2003 | We invest more at Montem with the creation of the ladies only pool environment, new reception and the Zone Cafe. The Centre Pool closes with the activities transferring to Montem. |
| 2004 | We double the size of the Synergy Gym at Langley. The Ice Arena seating and toilets are improved. |
| 2005 | We sign contracts to run The Centre Conference Venue & Herschel Sports. |
| 2006 | We introduce a new computerised booking system, the Ice Arena refrigeration system is upgraded. |
| 2007 | Montem Leisure Centre is improved again with a larger gym, ladies only and kid's area, more fitness studios and a spa. |
| 2008 | The Centre Conference Venue introduces a range of new services. |
| 2009 | We set up subsidiary company Absolutely Leisure to manage our new entertainment brand. Absolutely Karting opens and Slough Ice Arena is rebranded to Absolutely Ice. Our first standalone Synergy Gym is opened on the Slough Trading Estate. |
| 2010 | Slough Tennis Centre closes as Absolutely Ten Pin is given the go ahead and opens for business in September. Absolutely Combat opens. |
| 2011 | Seven brand new websites launched. Synergy mentors introduced to increase gym member engagement. Handed over Thames Valley Athletics Centre to another contractor. |
