Ramadan at Synergy...

Some helpful tips...
Plan ahead: Before sunrise and after sunset have plenty of moisture rich food such as vegetables and fruit.
Exercise: If you're confident to have a normal workout try scheduling it in soon after sunrise or soon before sunset.
Exercise: You may need to take part in less vigourous exercise. Check out the online timetable - classes marked with (R) are a little more relaxed.
Exercise: In the gym- if you’re used to a high impact or very intensive workout- book an appointment with your gym consultant to sort out a programme change.
Exercise: Don’t feel too bad about missing your usual workouts: take the opportunity to invest in quality stretching and abdominal crunches to tone the tummy.
Great advice: Take advantage of the introductory personal training offer (buy two sessions and get two free) to get back into the swing of things with a program tailored to your needs after Ramadan has ended.
Diet: Try not to overload your stomach when it is time to eat – take it slowly and avoid food that’s fried, oily or salty. Remember lots of fruit and vegetables for their liquid and vitamin qualities.
Water: If the weather is very hot then experiment with aqua classes – you don’t need to be a strong swimmer (stay in the shallow end) or book in for adult swimming lessons- there are also ladies only classes.
Creative: If you feel unable to continue with the gym or classes then try to stay active with housework, walks outside or fun and games with the kids.
Remember: Please ask your fitness consultant for advice. If you ever feel dizzy during exercise make sure you stop and rest and seek advice.
