FAQ's
What’s the difference between the Feel Good Factory and the gym?
1. It is power assisted NOT resistance based so can be used Passively or Actively. This is great for anyone returning to exercise after a period of absence or anyone who is frail of disabled.
2. The exercise promotes other benefits as well as fitness - it has a more holistic approach, it is also great for stretching, breathing and can incorporate pilates techniques to aid posture. Many members join us to lose inches and find that as well as fitting into a lower dress size they’ve got rid of their back pain, for example.
3. The circuit is pre-defined and works on an appointment system, so there is no queuing up for equipment as you would in a regular gym and you know you are getting an all over body workout.
Is it like Curves?
There are similarities with Curves, in that it is a ladies only environment and the circuit is set out for you in advance, however there are two key differences:
1. The entire circuit is equipment based, so no one feels embarrassed or intimidated if they have to jog on the spot of do manual sit ups in front of everyone else.
2. The equipment used is power assisted rather than air hydraulic so it is a much more sophisticated system giving even better results and which can be used by a wider range of people.
How quickly will I see results?
Everyone is individual and has different goals that they would like to achieve, but for example we usually find that if people want to tone up and lose inches they notice results within a few weeks if they follow the program we set. The key thing is that we will work with you to put a plan in place to help you achieve AND maintain the goals that are most important to you, whether that be inch loss, improved mobility, lower blood pressure etc.
